County Development Plan: Over the next two weeks we will be discussing the County Development Plan which is nearing the final stages. It will then be put back out for public consultation where you can make submissions (on the changes only). Myself and my Community Independent Alliance colleagues Paul Gogarty and Guss O’Connell have been working on our motions ensuring that the best plan is adopted. To date we have consulted with many groups and organisations and we will be keeping you updated on the process.

Dog Fouling: Following my work in relation to the dog park, dog bins and litter bins I have requested that the council introduces an “on the spot” fine for dog walkers that do not have in their possession a dog litter bag. Dog fouling is a scourge in our parks and on our footpaths throughout our county.
