Lucan Newsletter 3/10/2025
October 3, 2025
Groundbreaking: A proud day for Griffeen Community College as we recently turned the
sod for the new school building. As Chair of the Board, I was honoured to be part of this
milestone after working alongside the school for over 10 years. It was especially meaningful
to attend with Principal Noel Kelly, DDLETB officials, the Minister for Education, students,
staff and parents. We plan to be in the new school by next September.
Healthcare Services: I’m delighted my motions on health services in Lucan have passed
resulting in a site visit to the new Adamstown Primary Healthcare Centre for local
councillors. I remain committed to securing expanded healthcare services for Lucan until
delivery is achieved.
Abandoned Vehicles: I continue ensuring abandoned vehicles in Lucan are promptly
investigated and removed where warranted. Please do get in touch if you notice one locally.
