Local Property Tax: Local Property Tax was discussed at full council meeting on Monday. I stated that the maximum 15% cut in LPT could be achieved however I also requested that the Government provide a detailed report relating to what Council grants/funding will be removed to be replaced by the property tax so that it is possible to determine what impact a reduced property tax will have on the funding of our local services.

This Government introduced Local Property Tax so it’s only right that they provide accurate information to allow us to make an informed decision on LPT reduction.

Over the next few days a public consultation process will begin to allow everyone to have their say.

Grass/Hedge Cutting: On foot of my request the Council have trimmed back overgrown hedges on Esker Road which were a safety hazard.
