2016 Commemoration Celebrations: I attended the 2016 Commemoration meeting in Lucan Library this week. As a member of the commemoration committee for South Dublin County Council I was able to assist in the arrangements for the event and organised for various Lucan groups/individuals to attend and I would like to thank all for attending. You can apply for a grant for events you are planning for next year up the closing date the 31st August 2015. This fund is available for local groups/organisations to play their part by developing a project to mark the centenary. See www.sdcc.ie for details.
Footpaths: On my request damaged footpaths in Adamstown, Westbury and at the entrance to the Lucan Demense have been repaired. I would like to thank Council management for quick response. If you have damaged footpaths in your area please get in touch with me.
