Age Friendly parking: My motion requesting the council to introduce Age Friendly parking spaces was discussed and passed at this week’s area committee meeting. There has been preliminary liaison with the Community Department in this matter, where Age Friendly Parking might be one of the actions of an age friendly town or village.

Defibrillator Signage: The council have agreed to my request to look at introducing new signs to indicate locations of defibrillators in our area. One location to be considered is the 24-hour outdoor one attached to the wall next to Carrolls/the taxi rank.

Public street lighting improvements: The council have agreed a site meeting with residents in the Finnstown areas to discuss the streetlights around the open green spaces and look for improvements.

Community Officers will be assigned to the Adamstown Area following the completion of the current recruitment process
