Sports Facilities: At this week’s council meeting it was agreed to include the provision of purpose-built facilities into the councils Rolling Capital Programme hence remove the existing containers that are in place. A comprehensive County wide needs assessment review of community facilities and spaces will be carried out before the end of 2014.

Litter Bins: On foot of my request I can confirm that the council will be installing additional bins at Hermitage Park. I will continue to pursue this issue to ensure that adequate bins are provided.

It is with regret that I learned this week that the book and art shop Abtree will close at the end of the month, I would like to thank Aideen and her colleagues for all you’ve done for our community over the last 15 years and wish you all best for the future.
