Outdoor Chess Tables:
I’m delighted to share that my efforts to have outdoor chess tables installed in our local parks
have been successful. Following my motion to the Area Committee the provision of outdoor
chess tables will be included in the 2026 Public Realm Improvement Works Programme.
From January 2026 we should begin to see these great new additions appearing in our open
spaces encouraging community interaction, outdoor activity and friendly competition.

Adamstown Primary Care Centre:
After continued engagement with the HSE regarding the new Primary Care Centre in
Adamstown I was delighted to visit the building and view the impressive facilities. Spanning
three floors it will include physio/occupational/speech therapy, GP consultation rooms,
CAMHS and maternity services linked with the Coombe Hospital. This much-needed facility
is expected to open in Quarter 1 of 2026 and I’ll keep everyone updated.
