Tree Survey Along N4:
I ‘can confirm that following my motion, the trees along the N4 beside Willsbrook Estate will
be surveyed due to concerns raised about their height and safety. Any necessary pruning or
works identified in the survey will be scheduled by the council.

Discoloured Water:
I recently brought forward a motion asking SDCC to explore better ways to communicate
with residents experiencing discoloured water. While Irish Water (Uisce Éireann) now
manages water services, the Council still has a role in informing the public and relaying
concerns to ensure issues are addressed.
Discolouration has been linked to unauthorised use of public hydrants by third parties. I’ve
requested Irish Water confirm the steps they’re taking to prevent this. SDCC has
recommended reintroducing a hydrant licensing system and encourages residents to report
any issues directly at www.water.ie.
