Dog Fouling: My motion asking that the council introduces an “on the spot” fine for dog walkers we do not have a dog litter bag was discussed and passed at this week’s council meeting with an amendment “that the council writes to the Minister for the Environment to look at ways to introduce this or similar policy to address this issue”. Dog fouling is a scourge in our parks and on our footpaths throughout our county. I will continue to work on issues on litter and installation of additional bins in our parks.

Adamstown Community/Sports Hall. Following a meeting with the various representatives from the Adamstown community which I attended this week progress is now been made on the development of the hall. I will continue to work with the council management and the Education Training Board as a board member.
