Lucan Community College: I attended the AGM of the Parents Association last Tuesday. I have been involved with the issue of the school extension for some years and I will continue to assist through my board membership of the Education Training Board. I wish to commend the work of the newly formed committee.
Lucan Hosts International Hockey Match: Weston Hockey Club held an event last Friday hosting an International U18 teams from South Africa. Both girls and boys played very exciting games against Weston. All players were then treated to a well-deserved dinner in the Lord Lucan. I was glad to help out on the night and well done to everyone involved and the staff of the Lord Lucan. The event was organised by a local resident and plans are in place for another International for 2016.
