Third Post Office for Lucan: Following communication with An Post it was great to receive confirmation that a new Lucan Post Office will open in the Eurospar in the Ballyowen Shopping centre. It is planned to have the new office open by end of March next. The new office will complement our existing offices in Lucan village and Dodsboro and better serve the greater Lucan area.

Coolamber: planning application for new development on Lock Road/Newcastle Road (R120), Finnstown, Lucan has been declared invalid because of lack of site notice. They developer will have to reapply, I will update on further developments.

Takeaway, Supervalu: Disappointed to see that the takeaway has been granted permission at the Supervalu S/C despite opposition to it. I will be seeking an explanation from the council planners who approved this application.
