Griffeen Park Volleyball Feature: I recently requested a report on the casual volleyball
court in Griffeen Park, examining its usage and condition. Installed in 2023 with Volleyball
Ireland, the court has seen some use but needs improvement. The area is now included in the
draft 2025 Public Realm Improvement Works Programme to level and upgrade the surface,
enhancing this recreational space for park visitors.

Griffeen Park Coffee Dock Update: I've sought an update on progress for the planned
coffee dock near the Griffeen Park teen space. Despite initial tendering efforts, no interest has
been received. SDCC will conduct further market research this winter, with plans to re-
advertise early next year.
