Griffeen Valley park mini woodland-call out for volunteer groups
South Dublin County Council are undertaking a mini woodland planting project on two site
close to each other in Griffeen Valley Park.
Volunteers are required for the soil preparation on Friday the 26 th  and Saturday
27 th  July. This involves placing cardboard over soft vegetation and covering this cardboard
with a thick layer of mulch.
The vegetation will have already been taken down to ground level by council staff.
Volunteers are also asked to source cardboard from local businesses. This cardboard can
be collected by SDCC staff. The mulch will also be supplied by SDCC.
