I was delighted to be involved in Lucan’s first St Brigid’s Day community celebration held
in Kenny’s. What began as a shared idea between myself and Natalie from PoetsPerch came
together beautifully thanks to the determination and generosity of so many women. A
heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and helped make the day so
special. I look forward to planning next year’s event.

I have attended a number of briefings on the proposed additional residential zoning and
have clearly relayed the feedback received from residents to date. The scale proposed for
Lucan effectively amounts to a third SDZ. The plans will go on public display mid-February
for four weeks. I encourage all to make an observation. A public workshop will be held in
Lucan on 4 March. I will share updates locally as received during the process.
