Lucan Newsletter 27/3/2026

March 27, 2026

I raised a number of motions/questions on key issues affecting Lucan at my area committee
meeting.

Over 900 trees planted across the area in 2025 with further mini woodlands planned
alongside continued biodiversity initiatives supporting our parks and pollinators.

Now that The Paddocks has been taken in charge I am working to progress outstanding
traffic safety measures previously raised by residents. I also sought clarity on the Canal
Loop project particularly changes to the originally approved boardwalk design.

I continue to push for the extension of Adamstown Community Centre to be included in
the next Capital Programme reflecting ongoing population growth and demand for
community space.

Other matters raised included community dog training, canal safety and the need to
reconvene the Liffey Valley Monitoring Committee.

Get in touch if you have an issue you would like raised at future meetings.
