The deadlines for both the HGV Restrictions Consultation and the Proposed
Variation No. 2 to the County Development Plan have now passed. Thank you
to everyone across Lucan who made submissions and supported community
efforts. I now await the Chief Executive’s report expected in approximately six
weeks and will keep residents updated as the process progresses.

Local Property Tax: At the March Full Council meeting my motion was
passed calling on the Minister for Housing to publish an annual report on how
Local Property Tax is used. Residents often ask how much of their LPT is spent
locally and what services it supports. While this information exists, it is not
always easy to find. The motion asks for a clear, plain-English report published
online in one accessible place helping residents better understand how their
contributions support local services and infrastructure.
