Lucan Village Green is reopening this Friday 30th April. I continue to raise concerns
regarding the removal of mature trees and the lack of a clear plan for reinstatement
particularly given previous written commitments to replace those removed. While new
planting or saplings are included it may take decades for these trees to reach maturity and
restore the character and canopy that once existed.

I also sought an update on proposals for an Arts Centre in Clonburris. A Members’ briefing is
scheduled for 19 May where further details on design, scale and delivery will be presented.

I raised issues regarding road openings across Lucan with 299 licences issued in the past
year. I have requested stronger coordination, better oversight and timely repairs.

Finally, improvement works and deep cleaning are due at Kishoge Community College
following ongoing maintenance issues locally.
